firing, and these 6" flat bisque tiles are the perfect
answer!
Use them as a platform for drying your pieces, then as a low-cost kiln
shelf for firing them.
These highly absorbent tiles soak
up water 3
times faster than mullite kiln shelves, require less heating, and are a
fraction of the cost. Flat on both sides, so either side can
be
used as a working surface. Coat them with shelf primer before
using. These should not be used for full fusing or
other
high-temperature works.
